The Dolomites,
curated.

Private hiking, cycling and family journeys through Italy's most dramatic mountains — planned around you, not around a package.

Why Terra Motion

01

Locally rooted

Every route, hotel and guide is one we've tested ourselves, not picked from a catalogue.

02

Comfort, built in

From boutique stays to realistic daily distances, comfort is part of the plan — even on our hiking and biking weeks.

03

End to end

From the first message to the airport transfer, one point of contact throughout.

Behind Terra Motion Travel

I grew up in South Tyrol, right here in the Dolomites, so this landscape was never a destination for me. It was simply home. That never stopped me wanting to see everywhere else: by 27, travel had taken me to 23 countries across four continents, through 49 provinces and regions, and more than 80 cities. Knowing what actually makes a place worth the trip, because I've made that comparison myself, over and over, is what shapes how I plan one.

For six years I worked in active tourism here, and the tour that stayed with me the most was the high route across the Dolomites, the Alta Via. It's still one of the journeys we run today. When I went on maternity leave, I had time to properly think about what came next, and the answer kept circling back to these mountains: not someone else's itinerary this time, but my own. That's how Terra Motion Travel started.

Every itinerary here is shaped by years on these trails, not assembled from a catalogue. When you write to me, I read and answer it myself.

What happens next

We read every request personally — there's no automated matching, no fixed packages to choose from.

Good to know

Who leads the guided tours?

[Platzhalter: Beschreibung eurer Guide-Partner, z. B. "Every Guided and Private & Signature tour is led by a locally based, qualified mountain guide we work with directly for that route." Ehrlich formulieren, solange ihr noch keine festangestellten Guides habt.]

What's the difference between Self-Guided, Guided and Private & Signature?

Self-Guided means we plan your route, book your stays and move your luggage. You walk or ride at your own pace, without a guide. Guided adds a private guide with you throughout. Private & Signature adds a private driver, upgraded boutique stays and a few extra touches along the way. See all tiers.

What level of fitness do I need?

Each tour lists a difficulty level (Easy, Moderate, Challenging) and typical daily hours in its itinerary. If you're unsure which tour fits you, tell us your hiking or biking background in your request and we'll recommend the right one.

What happens if the weather turns?

[Platzhalter: eure tatsächliche Wetter-/Ausweichrouten-Politik, z. B. "Guided and Private & Signature tours include a built-in alternate-route plan for weather days. Self-Guided travellers receive alternate route notes in advance."]

How does payment work?

[Platzhalter: Anzahlung in % und Fälligkeitstermin, Restzahlungsfrist, akzeptierte Zahlungsmethoden.]

What's your cancellation policy?

[Platzhalter: Stornofristen und -gebühren; Empfehlung zum Abschluss einer Reiseversicherung.]

Do you arrange flights?

International flights aren't included in any tour. We recommend flying into Venice (VCE) or Innsbruck (INN), and we're happy to advise on timing once your dates are set.
